Shelter Kids/Students

At Shelter Kids/Students, it is our desire to create a loving and safe environment for every child to know they are cared for, valued, and pointed towards Jesus. Every week, kids will experience the good news of the Gospel through a Bible study that is: Christ-centered, heart-transforming, age-aligned, chronological, theologically rich, missionally minded, and fun!

Your First Visit

Your First Visit

We are so excited for your child to join us! After you enter the main entrance, go down the hallway, turn to the right before entering the sanctuary, and you’ll see our Kids Check-In Station down the hallway. You will fill out a New Families card with your basic contact information and the names and ages of your children. We will give your child a sticker name tag and give the adult a temporary parent number for that day.

What to Expect

What to Expect

We offer classes from infants through elementary age each week. Our middle and high schoolers meet twice a month. There are always at least two volunteers per room. Before serving, all volunteers are background checked, given training materials, and have shadowed in the classroom. At this time, a snack is not provided.

Our Curriculum

Our Curriculum

The Gospel Project is designed to introduce children to the whole narrative of scripture, chronologically, from Genesis to Revelation. Each lesson meets the main goal that we have for kids ministry curriculum: showing how all of scripture - from the Old Testament to the New Testament - is purposeful, points to Jesus, and presents a unified Gospel message.
The lessons are age-aware, and are designed specifically for Preschool (about ages 3-5) and Elementary (K-5th or about ages 6-11). They include memory verses, a timeline, catechism questions, Bible Story lessons, games and crafts.

Shelter Students (middle and high school) are led in a discussion that goes along with that week’s sermon.
